I had my blood work and u/s this morning. I have 10 on the right side and 5 on the left. Mary seems to think this is good but I have my fears it is not enough. Maybe for the usual IVF patient, but I am doing PGD for a girl. You figure its a 51/49 ratio of boys and girls. And we dont know if we'll even get all of those eggs. say we only get 12 instead of 15. Of those 12, IF they all fertilize, only 5 might be girls, which doesn't sound bad. But 3 out of those 5 could have abnormalities which leaves me 2 embryos. But I guess you never know. It only takes one. I just really want a xx embryo to freeze, in case whatever I put back doesn't take.
Almost $20k for this. We cant really afford to do the entire thing twice.
